Have just moved to W7 Home premium from XP. My old check list for printing mailing labels using a list in Excel obviously cannot now be used. I can not work out how to do this in W7 Home premium. Could any kind soul tell me how, giving easy to understand instructions? I am not looking forward to writing out many addresses for Christmas cards!

I don't understand. Make sure your printer is connected and drivers working so you can print. Then install your copy of Excel on your W7 machine, open your mailing list spreadsheet and print it.

As TrainableMan has said, nothing should have changed. If you used Excel to print the files in XP, just reinstall your copy of Microsoft Office on Windows 7 (and if needed your printer drivers), and you can print them as before.
