How does one set a newsgroup response in Live mail so that the original
posting is indented or marked off with a symbol such as "<."

I can seem to find a way to do that.

Thanks,

Quigley

Try the steps on this page:-

http://www.dusko-lolic.from.hr/wlmquote/

Or give up and start using a decent program, such as Thunderbird,
Turnpike or Agent.

Thunderbird, Turnpike, and Agent are terrible! Why do you push that crap
for?

Right, that's one of the reasons that Windows Live Mail is such a poor
choice.

Wow. Busted. And a good choice by the way.

Thunderbird will put in the quote marks.

Just about anything will put in quote marks. Except
perhaps something written by Microsoft, which
has to "gimp into last place" when it comes
to newsreading and writing. I think their bad
implementation, is a source of pride to them.

Busted? Read the rest! Are you really that slow Paul?

And I was complaining how bad Linux is and how bad Thunderbird is, but
what are you going to do when you run Linux? You have to put up with the
crap they feed you. I even stated I was using Thunderbird in the message
itself. How dumb can you get Paul?

> Thunderbird will put in the quote marks.

Don't get me started about all of the stupid crap that Thunderbird puts
the user through. It doesn't get all of the messages, as it misses like
1 to 2%. You can't use your favorite editor with all of the wonderful
features of macros and all and then paste it back in. Switching between
threaded and unthreaded takes forever. Can't view only read and unread
watched at the same time. There are so many bad things about Thunderbird
it isn't funny.

I am using Microsoft newsreader right now Paul! And it places quote
marks perfectly. It even fixes your messed up quotes that your software
had created. There is only one Microsoft product that doesn't
automatically quote and only one version. And that is WLM 2012 and that
is it. But saying all Microsoft products doesn't is just being so super
dumb and ignorant.

I do it all of the time, even when I use WLM.

Thunderbird is not even close to WLM. In fact, it isn't close to
anything. As what other product do you know that takes two days looking
to configure something in the configuration editor to learn it wasn't
there to begin with? I mean besides crappy Firefox?

And I know you're *not* using that version, because your posts would be
hidden by my filtering rules if you did, VLM v15 is so bad that I
disregard anything said by anyone using it.

You wish it was simple. That is ok, close your eyes, click your heels
three times and make a wish. And it will happen too. ;-)
