live mail images

I am happy with WindowsLlive Mail in general, but it seldom allows images to
show in emails from corporate or advertising sources. I have searched the
help and tools but cannot find anywhere to correct this; any help please?

I don't know anything about Live Mail in particular, but....most email
programs these days default to not downloading images that emails
point to. This prevents spammers from verifying your address, among
other nasty things. There should be an option someplace to download
images for a particular message, and probably to tell the program to
always download images for a particular sender. Check through your
options dialogs.

Are you seeing the band above the message that says, "Some images have
been blocked............"?

Tools | Safety Options | Security. Uncheck: "Block images.........".

Run a Linux virtual machine on Windows with a fake user id and address,
etc. Use a Linux mail program to open spam and pfshing emails. Give them
a load of crap that won't affect YOUR machine.

OT, but a couple of friends and I were talking about LSMFT (as in
"Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco") just a few days ago...

During that conversation, I also mentioned "Lucky Strike Green has gone
to War", a pet peeve of my father's during WWII.

In the header of the email, try pointing at the name of the person or
place the email is from, then right-click. In the pop-up menu select
"Add to safe senders list". then in the future, any email from that
address should display any graphic images.

I also think the image disappearance was linked to my selecting larger fonts
on the desktop!
