Your monitor shouldn't need any specific monitors for it to work, so when you say that you can't get it working, what do you mean? Does it not list the proper resolutions that your monitor can handle?

Hello, by the way nice monitor.
Can you expand on your problem, e.g. black screen.
I would suggest you will need to re-install your graphics card drivers - but you should still be getting a signal?
I recommend you try re-installing these drivers, get updates from Microsoft directly, by using the update program in the control panel.
If you cant do this, please reply and give us some more info - Thanks.

yes Ian you are right i still get a signal but it does not send the right input to the monitor for the higher rez (1600's) and i know it can handle them caus when i was running xp it recognized the drivers nicely and all worked fine.

So you are able to select the correct resolution, but the refresh rate is incorrect and you get an "out or range" or similar error on your monitor? The more information you can give us about the problem, the more we can help

You can add custom refresh rates to see if that works, but first of all, did you use the latest driver from the LG site?

Click the "drivers & software" tab and then download the zip:
