Invalid ISO file

I was too brief.

I read it that he did not extract an existing ISO but created it from a
set of files.

OK, rereading & rethinking yours and Crash's posts, as well as the OP's
post, I have come around to thinking that the OP's description is either
limited or ambiguous - or both :-)

Nero used to be given away with a new CD burner.
If you had two burners with different mfrs,
each Nero version locked out the other.
Originally, we were able to merge one of the Nero files and stop this
nonsense. We weren't so lucky with later versions, and gave up on Nero.
There were (and are) too many other free burner utilities available to
bother with Nero.

I've done a bit of re-reading too, and reinterpreted the problem.
This is my current opinion of what's up.
1. The OP has downloaded an MS iso of Win8 but has run up against the
problem dealt with here;

2. He has (or maybe hasn't) run the correction tool mentioned;
"As a quick hack to resolve this issue, I wrote a tool that merely finds
the AVDP in your ISO file and copies it to offset (EOF-2048). This will
allow you to use your own ISOs with the Microsoft tool. Microsoft.NET
2.x or higher required."
3. He should let us know.

Hi guys, it seems you know well about win 7. I am posting this hoping you may know what to do next. \
1. i tried to boot my laptop from DVD, it did not
2. I tried MS tool. It gives me "Invalid iso", then downloaded "isoavdpcopy.exe ran in command prompt from the same folder that contained win7.iso image. It popped out "specified ISO is read-only"
3. Now this is funny. What to do next?
4. My intention is to make a USB run win7 to boot my laptop and install.
