[SOLVED] Internet Explorer 9

Well, I think you have something else wrong then, besides IE9. But it is a beta, so not a big deal at this point.

Microsoft's web browser is the only one I've ever seen the installation of which requires rebooting the whole system. Jesus, join the century, Redmond.

That's because IE is used for other features within Windows. And IE9 requires a couple Windows Updates too.

And to be truthful, I don't mind doing "a" (as in "1") reboot after a major update. That's the only way to ensure everything has been unloaded and deleted properly, and fully. It tells me all is okay.

Web browsing is the No. 1 thing people do on their Windows-based PC, and as such, they increasingly expect the same experience they associate with their PC applications from their favorite Web-based e-mail service, photo site or social network site. This kind of immersive experience does not occur on the Web today, and using a browser is often associated with limited performance and interactivity. Microsoft developed Windows Internet Explorer 9 to help change this.
