[SOLVED]

I was foolish enough to install the Internet Explorer 9 Beta.

Immediately after running it for the first time it crashed with a 'IE9 has stopped working' error.

I cannot find a way to uninstall it. I'll stick with Firefox.

Any ideas?

if you just want to remove it, CCleaner will do the job. if you need instructions after youve downloaded/installed, give us a shout.

It doesn't appear in CCleaner >Tools >Uninstall, nor does it appear in the Control Panel's uninstall feature.

I thought it was kept in the installed Windows Updates listings.

Go to MS and download and install IE8. That should get rid of IE9.

Go into Programs and features - view installed updates. (on the left). You will mostb likely find it there. Click it and uninstall. IE 8 will automatically be restored

I concur, that's where it will be so you may uninstall it.

Indeed it is (or was). I looked there before, but must have missed it.

It's put IE8 on in it's place, but I'm definitely going to stick with Firefox from now on.

Thanks to all who responded.

For the record, I have installed IE9 on several systems, with no regrets. It is great, fast, easy to use, and except for a few sites that fail to conform to the Web Standards, I've had no problems with the sites I visit.

It didn't work for me. My be my installation as quite a few things don't work: I can't add Gadgets, Jump Lists don't exist, and I can't install IE9.
