Intend to have Vista 32 Ultimate running in virtual mode on Win7 64 Ultimate host.

Dell 390 workstation, currently being upgraded to Win7 Ultimate.
Original Vista HDD had a lot of software installed which I don't want to have to re-install all over again in an untried 64 bit environment.
I intend to install Win7 Ultimate 64 bit on a new HDD, upgrade the machine to its manufacturer stated maximum of 8GB of RAM, and then instal VirtualBox.
Previously, having used Disk2vhd I will have 'virtualised' the 'old' working Vista Ultimate 32 bit HDD, the resulting VHD will be attached to Virtual Box in the new Win7 64 bit environment.
Kewl!

Does anyone forsee any flaws in that modus operandi?

I would be grateful for any response.

Many thanks to you all.

Hi JdeP and welcome

Disk2vhd is a great app and what you propose should work, please do let us know the outcome.
