Hi nico!

Have your checked to make sure the RAM sticks are fully seated in their slots? Some DIMM memory slots can be a little stiff sometimes. Does the motherboard recognize the RAM? Is the total RAM displayed by the BIOS in the motherboard jive with the sticks inserted?

It is not a good idea to mix two different clock speeds of RAM. What happens is the motherboard defaults the buss speed to the lower one. In your case at 667 MHz. Once you get the issue resolved with the two sticks of 800 RAM you should be alright.

Yep it's definitely inserted properly and it's all recognized by the bios and by the OS, but it's causing all these weird problems once there are 4 gigs or more in the system, whether that is both the 2 gig sticks ,or one 2 gig stick and two 1 gig sticks combined.
