Indexing remote media library w/ Media Player

I have a large media library located on local server in home network. WMP library ndexed fine w/ Vista from notebook. Install Windows 7 on notebook. Only partially indexing library now. Same occurs on two different Windows 7 notebooks. Still working fine w/ Vista. any suggestion?

How large is large (if that makes sense ). It can sometimes take a while to fully index a location - has it been a while since it started?
