Ive been using IE9 for some time without any problems. Suddenly some
web sites don't display videos or pictures correctly. I'd appreciate
any idea on what is wrong. I asked in a IE group but got no answer.
Thanks

Have you tried turning off "Hardware Acceleration" in Adobe Flash ?

Right click in a movie rectangle, and see if this menu appears.
If it does, then "untick" the Hardware Acceleration box.
You want to disable hardware acceleration, for best
rendering quality.

thanks for answering but that menu does not appear. Is there another
way to do it?

It might be 'ActiveX filtering'.
From the menu bar > Tools > ActiveX Filtering.
Or just under the close box there is a cog-wheel icon > Safety > ActiveX Filtering.
If ActiveX filtering is on then flash videos will show as blank box with
a small blue circle in the corner and also there will be a blue circle
icon in the address bar. Clicking this icon will toggle ActiveX filtering.

Can you give us an example or two so that folks can visit those sites
to see what's going on? Please be as specific as possible. Which
pictures and which videos at which sites?
