Since i have started using Win 7, i have trouble login IE8.
Get prompted by Window Live for id & password everytime.
Is there a fix?

I guess you mean that IE doesn't save your password. Right?

Well, first of all check that you have the "Save Password and Email" checkbox checked and also make sure that cookies are enabled.

I missed something, it seems. Where do you find that option in IE8?
But you are a stp ahead of me. I did not understand the OP. What is the "login" to IE8. I have a live ID, but have never been asked to "log in" to any browser.??

Well, what I understood is that the OP uses Windows Live to view email online, but IE doesn't save the password.

First of all, he has to check that the "Save password and email" on the login page, as well as having cookies enabled in Internet options.

IE8 refuses to remember my Win Live password. That's why I hate the POS and refuse to use it.

Ok. Understood (I think)
I use the Live mail as a standalone. But I think the fix maybe ,:
Open Windows Live Mail and go to options - Connection. Click sign in and then
on the window below, mark the square "Remember me...etc.
I have just tried it, for the first time - works for me. I could not find a window with the option referred to by Firecat, maybe I am going down another lane? I just click the little envelope icon on the top bar??

Firecat-yes i mean IE doesnt save my log in.
I do check save password but it wont save it for the next login.
I did check Cookies enabled.
If i go to Start and right click IE to run as administrator-it will log in fine.
But even if i create a shortcut from there or pin to taskbar-it wont hold up for the next login.

Right. That's weird...

Try setting "Run as administrator" in the optiond of IE
To do so, right click on the icon in the start menu and select properties. Then go to the "compatibility" tab and check "Run as administrator". Then apply.

When i went to compatability-it is all grayed out.
Now this cpu is brand new abd there are 2 IE's installed on the start menu.
One says Int Exp -64 bit and the other just says Int Exp.
Regardless, i have same problem with both-does it matter which i use?
