IE8 faster than FireFox and Chrome?

Microsoft have performed some benchmarks using all 3 popular browsers - Internet Explorer 8, FireFox 3 and Google Chrome. Loading time tests are performed on the top 25 global websites, with IE8 loading 12 the fastest, Google Chrome loads 9 and FF loading just 4.

These results are released just before IE8 is expected to be finalised, and are performed internally by Microsoft... so interpret these results with some degree of scepticism
