Hung up in "Completing Instalation" Step

I am doing a clean install on my wife's HP Pavillion dv9000 and it is taking forever to get through the "Completing Installation" step of the install. Is this normal when doing a clean install??

At this point the "Completing Installation" step has been running for over an hour.

Do you have a smartphone, such as a BlackBerry, connected to the machine for charging?
