HP PSC 950 does not work anymore with windows 7

After buying a new computer with windows 7 the printer function of my HP PSC 950 is not recognized. HP says that the drivers are already in windows 7.
Updates for windows 7 resulted in a mistake: unsuccessful download with the code: WindowsUpdate_800f020b

Can anybody help me solve this problem?

When the USB is connected and the printer powered on, can you see it in control panel / device manager? Are there any unknown devices listed?
