Is there anyway to reset a netgear router if you forgot your password?

have changed to a personal password? as the default is normally admin - password is password.

try reseting the router, should be a little pin hole at the back near the on/off button, get a pin and hold it in for 3 secs whilst on to reset.

another way is to unplug the router and try and hold the reset button in and then plug it back in still holding in the reset button for a further 30secs!

edit;

had to double check the default password;

USERNAME - ADMIN

PASSWORD - PASSWORD or 1234

Most Netgear routers require the reset button on the back of the unit to be pressed for at least 5 seconds or more, (use a ballpoint pen tip it's easier and won't slip) until the LEDs flash on and off. Then let it reset which takes about two minutes till it's settled down.

The defaults for a Netgear router are:
Username: admin
Password: admin

Not too sure, but in my case it's 5s to reset the connections, etc... And 30s to completely reset the router. There should be some infos in the manual of your router.
