Hello, I've got a new TV Samsung LCD series 6 (650) and I want to connect it to my computer.
I have a HDMI cable connected but the TV does not see the computer neither does the computer see the tv monitor. What shall I do in order to make it work?
I have been told to check my video board settings, I have NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT but I don't know what to check, where and what to do next. Any idea is welcome.
Thank you

It should show up as a second monitor on the computer. On the TV/monitor you typically need to select the proper HDMI as the input; from what I read about that TV it has 1 HDMI port on the side and 3 more in back so be sure to select the right one. Your computer should then have the second monitor set up for resolution of no more than 1920x1080 (based on the specs I am reading for that TV)

On the TV go to "on screen display " see if it needs to be changed to the
HDMI port you are using for the computer connection.
Most remotes are set up to run through the different ports.
