The instructions in the error code say to click on the red x in the
status column. There is no red x in the status column. How do I
resolve these updates?

Thanks

That looks like a pretty flagrant error; 1 installed, 9 failed.
I can't see any red x, nor can I fathom where you've found the reference.
Give us more info.

Ed

When I searched for updates there were 3 waiting I installed those,
but the 6 I had earlier are still there.

I had problems with updates to Vista the other day. The updates were
downloaded to the machine, but some worked while others didn't work. I
told the Update to install the ones that didn't work, and they still
kept failing. I finally boot the machine, did the update installs again
and they successfully installed.

You may want to try that, if you have not done so - the reboot.

I have rebooted my computer and I get a message from the Update page
that Windows is up to date.

I still have 8 entries that show as failed. The first 4 show the same

Do you have Windows 7 SP1 installed on the machine? If you don't have it
installed, that may be your problem.

As in no updates needed at this time?

If my assumption above is correct, this is just history. These updates
failed in the past but for whatever reason are no longer needed and
therefore not being offered anymore. As in possibly these updates have been
superseded or are included in a later update that did install properly.

If Windows Update is showing that you're up to date, don't sweat it anymore.
