It lists PSU's by brand name and gives some specs as well as their 80 plus rating.

It is a good list, but it does not denote quality. I prefer to buy PSUs found in the "Good" column of PC Mechanic's PSU Reference List.

Both lists serve their purposes for sure.

I prefer to also use product reviews in making a PSU selection.

Several websites that do a good job of reviewing hardware are: Overclockers Club, Legion Hardware, AnandTech, Tom's Hardware, Benchmark Reviews, HardOCP and TweakNews.

If one is able to find more than one review of a particular brand and model I find that's a big help also.

One last note, having been an electronics geek for decades, a good rule of thumb is that the heavier a power supply is, the better quality it generally is. This means larger better transformer, bigger better quality filtering capacitors, better quality resistors, heavier heatsinks, heavier gauge wiring, etc.
