Thanks for the heads up!

Am I wrong or aren't these only good for free on the day of the give away?

If one installs them again on another system, say after an upgrade or re-install of the operating system, will it work then?

Just curious, cause on a couple of them I installed, when later on I tried to reinstall them, they didn't work.

Yes you have it right. It will only install on the day of the giveaway.

Well, then for me it's not worth the trouble.

A famous Southern expression goes: "Worthless as teats on a boar hog!" LOL!

I do appreciate the heads up though davehc and roban!

It runs if you restore an image (Acronis, for example) Not sure about Windows 7 restore though.

If you install it on every machine you own then it's there when you need it. It also mentions "Linux Bootable CD" so if I can pop it on a CD well that seems pretty portable and useful so I'll give it a go and see.

I sure know from experience the limitations of the built-in W7 utility. If it's not immediately to the right then you can't merge it, you can't slide them around, etc. Having come from Partition Magic (not Vista/7 compatible) it was definitely a step backwards.

Thanks Dave.

I've been using this utility for over two years.

Nibs, the limitations you describe are unfounded here because this is a partitioning program. It is not a back-up utility.

Much of the partitioning can be done without rebooting and always safely. If you want to re-size the OS partition then it will reboot automatically and perform those functions. It is very careful with data.

As davehc points out, if you have an image of your OS, there is no problem.

GAOTD offers this program for one day every time a new version comes out. About every 6-8 months. And not the older version either. The current version. I've stated it before, I'm impressed with all the Easeus programs that I've tried.

If you are referring to this, from Nibiru
"If one installs them again on another system, say after an upgrade or re-install of the operating system, will it work then?
Just curious, cause on a couple of them I installed, when later on I tried to reinstall them, they didn't work. "

-then his assumption is correct, in many of the offers. - Not quite clear on the reference to it being a partitioning program, in relation to Nibiru's worry?

Yoda, I think Nibs concern is that he often does complete system reinstalls and when he goes to reinstall this product at that time it won't work because it can ONLY be installed today; not how it works as a back-up program.

Personally I'll take it now and worry if that point ever happens because for now I know it is better than the Windows built-in partition manager.
