Gigabyte GB-965P-DS3 rev.2.0 onboard HD Audio (Azalia)

Hello. I installed Windows 7 the other day and everything is fine and dandy, except for my sound. The drivers for my onboard audio card simply will not work. My motherboard is:

Gigabyte GB-965P-DS3 rev.2.0

And it has Realtek High Definition Audio (Azalia) on it.

It is definitely turned on in BIOS. I've tried drivers from both Gigabyte's and Realtek's websites, neither of which worked. The device manager shows "Realtek High Definition Audio" with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it. The device status is:

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

I've also tried looking for Vista Microsoft UAA drivers, but was unable to find them. Not that I actually know whether or not I need them...

If anyone has the same motherboard and has successfully gotten their audio to work, could you please tell me how you did it? Or otherwise, perhaps someone out there has some better ideas than me. Thanks in advance.

OS Version: Windows 7 Build 7100, 32bit

My system specs are:
CPU: 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
RAM: 4gb (3.5gbsable because of 32 bit system)
Hard drive: 250gb
Video Card: nVidia 8800 GTS - 640mb GDDR3 RAM (EVGA)

The ones from the realtek website have worked great with Windows 7 when I've needed them. It might be worth uninstalling the drivers, it should be on the "driver" tab of the sound card item in device manager. On the off-chance that you have corrupt drivers install this will remove them and let you install a fresh one - as that is an unusual error.

Yeah I've tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them, numerous times. And just tried a couple more times, to no avail. I've also tried the drivers that came on the CD with my motherboard. Same story. Error code 39.

I had to install my Realtek HD driver from my motherboard cd using Vista Compatibilty mode.

you could always try this link to the Windows Driver Catalog and see if a older driver for Vista may work...
