I thank you for the information, unfortunately I had already tried the add/programs method with 0 success.

It always has an error, I found most of the users in this forum had posted similar issues.

Hi VaineDragon

Looking into Telnet within Windows 7

1. Open control panel.
2. Then go into programs.
3.Then in programs and features there should be a part that says ‘turn windows features on or off
4. Click ‘turn windows features on or off ‘ then on the list that appears simply check the box beside: Telnet Client.
5. Then click OK.

And here is what I get when trying that method, which I have tried 5 times before, always a error.

And this is what I get when trying to manually install Telnet with Administrator Privileges with CMD.
I found in instructions in a post on these forums that said to.

This was found in the Windows 7 Forums.

run as administrator command prompt type this command
pkgmgr /iu:TelnetClient

Did all this and here is the error (operation failed with 0x80070643)?

There seem to be a few other people with that error when trying to install Telnet or IIS. I've seen one report where someone ran the system file checker "sfc /scannow " from the command prompt and this fixed it. It's worth a shot, as it can't do any harm.

I'll keep looking for other solutions for you
