I am not very computer knowledgeable but need new computer. I am looking at buying one that has windows 7 home premium 64-bit but i need it to network with 2 older computers and i know they do not have a 62 bit operating system (they both use XP) I also will need it to work with my printers that I have should I stay with a 32-bit OS or go with the 62-bit. thank you for your help

Hi 2jeffandsandra - Welcome to w7forums

Windows 7 will network with XP if configured to. Your printer maybe an issue but we would need to know which printer you have before we would know for sure.

will the 62 bit be the problem (one that I could take care of) or would it be better for me to just get the 32 bit OS

As Cliff stated, your printer will probably be the biggest problem regarding a 64-bit driver for it. If it is less then 2-3 years old you should not have a problem finding the correct driver though.

Go with the 64-bit OS if at all possible. It will utilize the hardware in your system best.
