Get rid of action center messages

In the action center (little flag icon in the system tray), how do you mark
an alert message as read so that it goes away? The only option I see when
I view the message is to turn off messages of that type. TIA!

I believe if you read it and follow the solution it goes away. If not, try
archiving it. Alternatively, if you search for action center in your pc's
help and support, you will see how to clear problem history.
