err, I don't know but I have some anomalies. first: my activation warning didn't pop-up every time I turned on my computer. second: the activation countdown said that I have 12 days to activate my w7 (never less than that)

do you know why those happen?

You have one month to activate so it warns you. Once you activate it will no longer remind you.

Go here to validate your Windows 7 install, you must use IE8 or you'll have to download a little app to verify otherwise.

http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/val...displaylang=en

You can also right-click on Computer, then select properties and you'll see the following box. This is from my system and I blocked out the user name and Product ID since that varies from user to user.

Look at the text box by the black arrow in the lower right-hand corner.

I believe he's not familiar with where to check on his Windows 7 OS to verify.

He stated it's activated and such so apparently the Windows 7 product key is genuine.

He's a newbie with the OS and really hasn't explored all the places to verify his install.

If he types "activate" in the Start Orb search menu this screen will pop-up too.
