Hi all. Due to big probs and trouble booting laptop up its resulting in having to format it it however when i put my windows XP disc in to get to the format option it cuts out..

Is there any key i can hit to bring a command promt up and does anyone know the line to type to format the laptop with windows 7 on.

Try Partition Wizard from our Freeware Database.

Clifford you following me ... hehehehe.

Can this be used even though the laptop isnt working as i am not able to get past the blue error screen resulting in me posting in the other sections of this site

Can the program be used if i boot from it ??

I'm sorry, I wasn't following this was the machine that wouldn't boot.

The machine needs to be able to boot before you can use any software.

yea the machine will not boot soon as you turn it on the blue screen appears so was wondering if there was any keys i could press when i switch on so i can format the whole laptop

If you install the restore DVD (and set your BIOS to boot from that DVD instead of the harddrive, if it doesn't already do that by default) you should be able to access the machine. If it BSODs to that then you have hardware problems you need to resolve first.
