i somehow changes all my drive permissions the other day and have managed to get
acces to the drive now, but when im trying to back it up it says i dont have permission
to copy files. i can change each individual file but its all my samples and projects
which is roughly 130gb of data and thousands of files! is there a way to reset all of
them to default easily?? all my security permissions for my main folders says everyone
has full control and the drive is the same.

ive looked at this

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313222

but it says it can make vista unstable so i presume windows 7 is the same.
ive also tried icacls but dont really understand what im doing with that and dont have a previous template so am worried about messing it up even more.

Thanks

Try the Take Ownership script in the File & Folder section of our Freeware DB
