When I installed W7 64bit and then firefox 3.6.12 lots of problems started to appear.
I could not reply to email's in gmail, and could not post on certain forums!
Several other things didn't play nicely, flash, adobe reader....etc etc.

This got so annoying that I uninstalled Firefox 3.6.12 and got Firefox 3.6.12 portable and everything works great. But cannot set FF as default browser.

When Firefox was doing this I could do everything I needed in IE8, but I do not like IE8 or any IE for that matter.

Is there any way of getting Firefox to play nicely with W7 64bit?

Or is there another browser that does?

Thanks

Thanks for the replies.

I had my original active boot image saved and now I'm going to it again.

The image I am using was made after things were installed.

Hopefully things will be okay.

Thanks

It may also be an issue with an add-in. I'm not running .12 but I know with NoScript installed I often have functions (buttons, links, etc) that will not work until I allow the page.

Thats a good point by Trainableman, i found it a pain and disabled and uninstalled NoScript found it too much hassle.

NoScript in not a very good or user friendly add-on that's for sure. I tried it for about 3 hours a month or so ago and hate it immensely.

Yeah, I found No Script a bit "harsh" as well.

I've been using it since I first install Firefox. But really my point was more that an add-in could be causing the symptoms the OP is seeing, not specifically this one.
