Fax From Word

Using Win7's Fax & Scan is a lot different than what I'm used to in XP.
In Word when I print to Fax it appears that the word document is going to be
an
attachment. I found nothing to ask for info about cover page. Looks like
the only
info to be entered is the TO and Subject. I try to send with. I add a
Fax number
in my own address in address book for testing, and try to Send. The error
says
that "one or more recipients do not have a fax address...." How do I use
Fax in Word?
Earl

I think I figured it out... In the To field I can enter the phone number
rather than
selecting a name from the address book... and then attach a file I want to
fax.
But, what about sending to someone in my address book. It seems I should be
able to select a name from my address book, and as long as it has a fax
number,
it should accept and send to that number. Doesn't work that way for me.

I'm wondering if any of this has anything to do with Windows 7.

Wouldn't it be just as easy to send it as an attachment to an email since
your wanting to use their address?
Just a thought,

That's most likely doable in many cases, but I'm sure there would be some
cases where a Fax is warranted, or perhaps demanded.

I'm wondering if you read anything he asked before you decided to offer that
as "help"

Sure sounds to me like he is asking about using the fax program that comes
in Win.7

No, he seems to be talking about faxing from Word. He just happens to
be using Win 7.

If you read the entire thread and not just the first sentence, I think
you'll see that that was the only reference to Win7's Fax & Scan.
After that it was 100% Word.

So he is asking about using the Win. 7 fax program, and he wants to use Word
to create the fax, but you don't see how this has anything to do with
Win.7?????
Recent public school grad I guess? Surprised you can manage to get on line,
or is it you just have no clue, but feel you must post something?
That is a common theme in Unset. I don't know how many times I have asked a
question, and get several responses like yours. Some lame post, showing they
have no answer but just "had" to post something. Of course fortunately there
is normally at least one person who actually knows the answer, who will post
it.
