Hey people

I bought a new SSD to replace my 32Gb boot up SSD as it appears to be way too small. The newest is 120Gb large and contains a SSD migration software from Samsung

The SSD is a Samsung SSD 840 Series of 120Gb (SATA)
I have bought a 3.0 USB adapter to connect it to my computer. I installed the softwares from the provided CD from the SSD box, but I've never used such software and it seems pretty confusing once inside ...
I have a total of 9 categories displayed by the software

- System Information (I already have Aida64)
- Performance benchmark (same)
- Performance Optimization (same)
- OS Optimization (No need yet)
- F/W Update (?)
- Secure Erase (not yet I guess)
- Over provisioning (what ?)
- Disk Clone (is it the one ?)
- Site Link (useless)

I'm in need of help regarding the migration process. I need to know how do I transfer my complete 32Gb SSD to the newest one. After that. the hardware replacement should not give me much problem :). Thanks in advance !!

Regards

Relevant specs:
Core i7 4770k haswell processor @3.5 ghz
asrock z87 extreme4 motherboard

I installed the drivers from the motherboard disc, and the Intel website, but I am consistantly getting a code 12, and the aero themes are disabled when I restart unless I disable the drivers in Device Manager. I'm mainly wondering what on earth could be conflicting with the haswell graphics, as I removed my existing graphics card due to constant video freezing and general old age.

Do I need to get a new GPU, or can I fix this? I intend to get a new GPU eventually anyways, I just have no money for that ATM.

Alright, I did a series of things today.

First, i used a windows 7 ultimate upgrade disc to take my Vista to windows 7.

Then, I switched out my 6 year old processor, board, and RAM for a ASROCK z87 motherboard, a Haswell I7 4770k processor, and 8x1 gb of corsair vengeance RAM.

Now, it starts up crazy fast, gets to the loading bar-ish thingy, BSODs for a split second, then restarts. I'm running startup repair as we speak, but I don't know if it will find anything.

In short: is there any way to reconfigure win7 to my new hardware without reformatting my HDDs?

I haven't tried starting to safemode yet, and if startup repair fails, i'll try that and post the reporting files.

Thanks in advance,
S.V.
