Hmmm, now that you mention it, I don't see a Menu or Tool Bar either...duh.
OK, aside from selecting the first and last with the shift key, any other
way
to Select All?

Is this in Windows Explorer?
Do Organize-Layout-Menu Bar. That'll give you the old File-Edit etc menu.

Do NOT need to highlight just get focus in the place you want and then
Ctrl A

Where 'highlight' means to select any item in the set.

You still haven't said where. But regardless of what program you are
talking about, or even what version of Windows you are talking about,
use Ctrl-A.
