Am i right in thinking there is no 64bit driver for this bit of kit?
The mouse works fine but in device manager it's saying there is no
driver for the finger print bit, despite the fact i don't use it i like
to have every thing running smoothly

TIA

Maybe Intellipoint 8, 64 bit version ?

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en...m-requirements

There is a folder in there entitled "wirelessintellimouseexplorerwithfingerprintreader",
but I can't tell if any Digital Persona software is present or not.

Thanks for the suggestion Paul but no go on that one, i love this mouse
and don't want to bin it just because of a driver issue.

There are suggestions here, but no fix.

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...6-33eddfb91882

There is one claim there, of the device being seen in Device Manager,
but then the Digital Persona software can't access or find the device.

You could try resolving the driver part of it here. But then,
you're likely to get stuck, when the Digital Persona software
can't find the fingerprint reader.

Hi Paul, thanks for the quick reply, I'm not worried about "using"
fingerprint reader itself so no need for the Digital Persona software,
i'm a bit of a fussy git and only problem is in device manager is
showing it as an error, I'll give windows update a go as right now i'm
only using a temp instal of win7 so can mees about as much as i want
i'll post back later with the news, sorry for any spelling mistakes.

Well WU didn't work, it's not the end of the world to be honest i have
just disabled it and that should be fine, funny thing is MS says it
works with Win7 64 bit with no issue what so ever but that does not seem
to be the case, i won't to much time on it as i say i've just disabled
it and that should be fine, so thx again for your help
