Well, I'm going to continue to use Dreamweaver 2, as everybody recommends it.

@Davehc
Actually, maybe it is. But what I like is that you can just point dreamweaver at a exe file, in this case a browser, and it will open the browser and load te website. I usualy save my websites as .php and when I try to open that wit IE, it asks me if I want to download it, but when I launch from DW, it doesn't.

@Niburu
If you want to make a website, just get a site editor like DW. I started in notepad only to learn the basic structure of a webpage and to learn about all the tags, but you can go directly to the editor. The only thing that you will have to learn is to script PHP or ASP, and Javascript and other languages.

Another way, which was how I started, is to download a site that you fancy, and load the home file (index.html) into your web design program, and just fool around with it.

Firecat. Perhaps you moved the goalpost a little there Fwiw. When you installed Dreamweaver, it picked up the php associate. If you are happy with Dreamwaver - no probs. Otherwise, as you probably know, you can change the associate back to IE.

My domain is allready regsitered (fc-designs.com) and I will be installing a web server on one of my old computers on friday. Having my own web server is really great, as I get unlimited everything, for 10€ a year. Also, I get control over EVERYTHING.

FC - When you say "unlimited everything"; do you mean that applies to bandwidth such high DL and UL speeds too?

Just curious on this one!
