After trial and error on 2 computers these are the best results I obtained

1) 19 inch old lcd monitor

Properties -

Font Consales 28

Short cut Run MAXIMIZED!

2) LCD wide screen 23 inch

Font Consales 36

Short cut Run MAXIMIZED!

-----------------------

My changing Run to maximized the window automatically aligns to the to the
top left of the screen

By which I presume you mean it still doesn't run in full-screen text
mode.

Which I would have guessed, if it's still asking you to select a font.
Full-screen text mode should be using the character generator in the
graphics hardware. (I wonder if we'll soon see graphics hardwares that
don't have one; I hope not!)
