Does Windows 7 support workstation 7?

I have Windows 7 and want to run windows XP on it using VMware workstation 7 so i want to know whether workstation 7 can be run on it or not? If yes then can i install Windows XP on it or not?

According to the Microsoft compatibility center, workstation 6 & 7 are both compatible so if you have XP disks and a license then yes you should be able to install it.
