Myself i think Windows 7 is brilliant !, i used XP Pro from day one, i did try Vista for 2 months then went back to XP Pro, now all our Computers are Windows 7 and will be adding another Christmas day. I used Windows 7 RC1 from its first day and per-ordered Windows 7 Pro, I think Microsoft got it right this time and I'm delighted, so please vote in the poll and please do comment if you wish.

Windows 7 is everything Vista should have been! I'm still running one PC on XP but I will update my Vista laptop to W7 soon!
Sadly, I will have to keep one running XP to manage my Netgear SC101 as it is now EOL and no W7 s/w is forthcoming!

I think Vista will eventually go the way of Windows ME!

I thought the Brilliant percentage was too low, I had to bump it up a notch.

PERFECT! This is the OS that will have a legacy like XP has. By the time it is unsupported, XP will have lived 13 years. Windows 7 has the potential to beat that record with no problem.

I think it is the best version Windows has released yet. It took minimal work on my end to get everything on my laptop working correctly.

Mattweed9 I could not agree more, Windows 7 is the best OS I have ever used. Hardware support (even older h/w that wouldn't work with Vista), driver support from pre-release, tonnes of eye candy, not as strict minimum system requirements what more could you want.

I have to agree with Catilley1092 as well as if you follow the MS normal trend the next release will be rushed, slow as a wet week and flop. Following the rule of "every 2nd MS release" I would think that it will be at least 2015 before another worthy version is released to the public... Windows 9 maybe???

I had to choose Brilliant. Once I installed Windows 7 RC on my comp (as dual-boot with XP) I might have booted to XP only once or twice and that was just to get some settings for some programs, otherwise I was sold completely on W7

I voted "Good". I would have voted very good if available. I come straight from XP Home and skipped the Vista fiasco so there is a lot to like in W7. My computer is not a screamer but everything runs great. Now I need to get a tv tuner card and things like that to take advantage of some of the great features 7.
