DEP Crashing Internet Explorer in Win 7

I've been using Windows 7 for the last few days, and certain webpages that I go to cause IE to crash. It tells me something about DEP causing it. I disabled DEP to see if that would help, and now, going to the same pages just causes IE to "loop", and then finally "crash" (telling me that it stopped trying, to avoid "a loop"). I have no add-ons or anything installed for IE so I have no idea whats going on. I can view the same pages in vista with IE 7 just fine, so I'm not sure if its an IE 8, or Windows 7 issue.

If anyone can shed any light, I'd appreciate it greatly.

Apparently, you don't understand when you visit some porn sites, they download malicious code and that's the reason why it's preventing it. IE8 is better at detecting this malicious code.

You probably already have junk on your computer from visiting porn sites.

I'd recommend a complete virus scan.

Try these solutions one by one but not all togather and see the results.

* Install sun java run time and see if the problem solved. "vista version will work"

* Try to launch IE in no addons mode and see if it will crash.

* uninstall the Microsoft virtual machine (Microsoft VM) if you have it.

PS i didnt know that you are visitng porn sites.

It shouldnt matter what sites I'm visiting, but yeah, I get the porn thing, lol. Its just I upload there so, yeah... I did a fresh install with nothing else installed afterwards except the three updates that were available at first boot. I'll try the java and IE w/o addons thing (even though I have no addons installed ATM), and I don't have Microsoft VM installed at all.

Installing java, nor running IE (w/o addons) fixed it. I understand the protection factor of IE, but there has to be a way to either add a site as safe, or to disable the feature altogether, no? I know which sites I go to, and I've never had problems in the past with those sites.

i dont understand you, did you try java and Ie without addons already and that didnt help? is that what you mean!

I tried java both with and without addons. I tried it (IE) also (before installing java) with, and without addons. Both ways cause either a DEP failure (when enabled), and when I disable, I get an error telling me the page still can't be displayed, and that IE has stopped attempting to, to avoid "looping".

I assumed the version of IE8 that came with Windows 7 was beta 2, no? If not I'll hae to try that. I did install firefox, and it's letting me view the page. IE however, isn't letting me click on ANY torrent files (keeps saying it can't connect to the site). So I'm starting to think that IE8 doesn't want to let you do anything it doesn't want to let you do, period.

Try also if you didnt yet
start IE8
right side in command toolbar press on Safety button and from within the drop down menu choose "InPrivate Browsing"
Ie8 window will change to add inprivate button next to address bar.
write your favorite link and check if it will crash.

None of the things you suggested worked (I had tried them before your suggestion). It's got to be some type of security deal with IE8, while I understand its there to protect, it seems (at least right now) there's no way around it. I can't seem to download content either with IE8 (tried to get the Microsoft Essentials or whatever [to get messenger, email, etc]), and it kept telling me it couldn't download the content. Tried it in firefox, and it worked just fine, so I don't know what the deal is with IE8.
