How many partitions do you have now and what is your drives freespace?

You can see how many partitions you have from here:
  • Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools
  • Computer Management
  • Disk Management

A shortcut would be to type "Create and format hard disk partitions" in the search box from the Start Menu.

Easier to perhaps link to a guide: http://www.windows7news.com/2009/09/...-in-windows-7/

Since you wish to use the C drive, make sure you leave plenty of spare drive space for your OS.
