I have been using the beta version of 7 for a few months and had no problem setting up autologin, using "control userpasswords2".

I have installed RC on two machines and on both of them I get a 'not found' when trying the above. Nor can I find any other way to get there.

I'm trying to figure out what I might have done wrong, since after a number of tries I don't think it's a typo.

Thanks for any help
Dave

Select the Windows key + R then type control userpasswords2 into the run box.

You're welcome. I don't know why the Start search box doesn't recognize this.
