Hi all my laptop is a Compaq Pressario V6700 Laptop with the Nvidia nForce 610M - 7150M (i think)
now ive tried win7's factory drivers, HP's drivers (7.15.11.7713 and 7.15.11.7432 Versions) and tried Nvidia's drivers which couldn't install wats so ever...
The Problem - after having installed win7 7100 and installed drivers successfully, the system runs completely fine (other than Windows live communications platform keeps crashing), having been shutdown about twice randomly the screen's brightness apprears darker during windows splash screen, but having this happen as soon as the splash screens disappears, the screen is black and stays that way with only the cursor... no loggin screen - nothing... and the only way i can sovle this is to do a system restore to just b4 the display drivers were installed (i have tested this theory that is why it can only come down to the drivers crashing like this).
has anyone encountered this b4 on any nvidia system??
please help becuase i do not want to resort back to Vista PLEASE
