Using Windows 7 64 bit
I communicate with people in different time zones. Is there a clock or
app that would let me quickly see what the time is in another time zone?

Sounds like just what I need. I downloaded it and ran it to install. It
came up with a popup that said I needed NET Framework version 1.1.4322
and asked me to install it.

I thought W 7 already had NET framework but clicked yes to install it
and it took me to a web page
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/netf...s/default.aspx
which had "Page Not Found"

Any suggestions what to do?

Thank you very much.
(I searched for "display time zones" trying to avoid additional gadgets).

Double-click the time in the notification area and there's a tab to add additional
clocks on the Date and Time dialog. (This is native to W7 and Vista. No extra
programs required!)
You can then hover the mouse over the time and see all the times you've added, or
click it once to bring up a dialog with all the clocks and a calendar on it.
This is using Classic Theme in W7, but I assume it's the same with Aero?

Regards
John

Windows 7 out of the box includes .NET versions 2, 3,0, and 3.5. .NET
version 1.anything is unsupported on Windows 7.

I've not tested any of them but a Google search turns up a few citations of
procedures claiming success installing .NET 1.1 on a Windows 7 system. I
wouldn't recommend doing that even if it works because of uncertainty about
possible side effects and security issues, but it's up to you to decide how
much risk is appropriate for your specific situation.

I'm not a fan of installing special-purpose apps, though I recognize
this is a matter of taste. If you're not definitely decided that it
*must* be an app, you can do it in your browser.

In Google's search window, type "time in Bucharest" (without the
quotes), or pick whatever other location you wish.

The clock included with Windows 7 already has this capability. Go to
'Change Date and Time Settings', and click the 'Additional Clocks' tab.
Select which two additional time zones you would like, then check the
appropriate boxes to show the clocks. OK out, then just click the clock to
show all the clocks along with a calendar, or hover over your clock for a
smaller tooltip view.
