clock disappeared in taskbar

Using W 7 home premium 64 bit.
I have Stoic T-clock installed forever on my system and it has worked
fine. Yesterday I modified some of the display properties to speed up a
certain program and I now noticew that the clock display has disappeared
from the taskbar. The space for it is still there and right click works
on it but nothing is visible.

Any idea which aero display may be the one I disabled that could have
cause this?

Found it. It was "Use Visual styles on Windows and buttons" and "Enable
desktop composition.
