Changing column order in Explorer

By default, Explorer shows file information as Name, Date modified,
Type, and Size. I can change the order in a specific folder by right
clicking the column title bar, selecting "More...," and adjusting the
order, but that only changes the currently open folder. I would like to
change the order to Name, Size, Date modified, Type for ALL folders.
Any clues?

Open Explorer to the root C: drive. Change your columns to way you want
them. Click on Tools, Folder Options. On the View tab, click on Apply to
Folders. This will make all folders the same (or at least it does for me).

Thanks! That works. I was looking to do it at one place or the other,
not both. It even carries over to drives other than C:.

Glad it worked for you! I did know that, about it carrying over to all
drives, but thanks for reminding me.
