Change Start/All Programs list?

Is there a way to change how Win7 displays the Programs list? I like the way you could previously either select scroll or have each subsequent layer expand into another menu, and if it was longer than the screen, it would just open another menu window adjacent to the one another (however many it required to list the entire program list). I really don't like this newer interface. (I didn't like Vista's one either so changed it to a "classic" display.)
