Hi,

This morning I started up my computer and all of the sudden I have to double click everything instead of single click. Not only is this for files and folders, but also for example, to open an email. I have already researched the problem, and going to Folder Options to change double click to single click doesn't work! Can anybody help?

I would suggest trying either a restore point to an earlier date prior to the problem or the system repair DVD.

You might try, first, uninstalling trhe mouse driver in the device manager. Then restart and let windows reload the driver.

Is could also be a sign of malware activity. I would do a thorough scan. But I would also try another mouse.
