I'm running Win 7, home premium, 64bit. I recently downloaded the recommended updates from Microsoft. My DVD drive is no longer recognized in either Windows Explorer or the Device Manager. I removed the upper filters but had no lower filters. DVDs do not work. Any suggestions?

go to you PC manufacturers website and download the cd/dvd driver. Sounds like the driver has gotten corrupted.
