cant view some sites fullscreen

have a new samsung widescreen,all in one pc with w7.Most pages come up normally,but all daily papers,you tube & others open in 4x3 format,not wide screen.Any ideas why,please.

you wont get full screen coverage on all sites anyway in widescreen. as alot of site are not... how can i put it, compatable might be the wrong word, but if you press control and use your mouse roller to adjust the size of the screen it might help, and check you have the correct screen res too.

What browser & version? If IE, then have you tried the compatibility option? What screen resolution are you using?

I use 2048x1152 res and have no problems going fullscreen with youtube in firefox3.6.8 or ie8.

This also has to do with the website itself. Some "fluid" designs scale to your screen size, will others, "Static" designs have a fixed width.

Static designs might look fulscreen on small screens, but small on big screens.
