My Platform:

HP Pavilion HPE-137C
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

My Problem:

I have deleted a screensaver file from SYSWOW64 & SYSTEM32. Search
can't find find the screensaver anywhere, but it still appears in Screen
Saver Settings and can still be used in themes.

If you installed the screensaver then you should be able to uninstall
it via Control Panel > Programs (and Features).
If not then your themes are stored here:
C:\Users\Your Account\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\
If you can locate the theme with the offending screensaver right-click
the theme file and Open With notepad.
Make sure the box that says:
'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file' is NOT checked.
In the [boot] section it will say where the screensaver is being called from.
