My new next door neighbour has a desktop which had XP on it and he updated it to Win7 home Premium 32 bit, I have a new Win Professional 32 bit disk which I have never used. If I give it to him can he update his desktop from Home Premuim to Professional?
Failing that his wife has a laptop with Win7 Home Premuim 32 bit can the Professional disk be used to update the laptop.

Hi humbercoastgaurd

Even though you had two Disk, they are both tied to the same key. A second key must be purchased if a second install is going to be used at the same time. Other than needing a second activation key, the disk will work just fine.

Pretty sure he needs a separate license for Pro.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking about the Home Premium vs Pro key differences. Thanks Core.
