For some time now I've noticed that files show up on my c drive and
I'm not sure what they are or where they are coming from. It will
have the open file icon with a gold padlock to the left of it followed
by a bunch of letters and numbers. When I open it it just says file
is empty. I'd appreciate any ideas on what this is. Thanks

Sounds like a temporary file/folder, perhaps from Windows Update, do
they go away again later?
